Time for a Vacation!

Picture

You are starting a new video project this week.  You will do some of this on your own and some with a partner.

What can a green screen do?

Green screen filming can be used to change the background of your film. This works by using a unique color as the backdrop in the scene. Using clever computer software, it is then possible to isolate this color and make it transparent. With the background fully transparent, it can then be replaced easily with a still image or any other footage.
Green screen can be used to create something that would be very expensive to produce another way. It can also be used to record something that would otherwise be impossible to capture on film.

Your project theme will be to plan a vacation.  You can make this into a vacation in a city (Branson, MO, Orlando, etc.) or maybe a cruise, or fishing trip.  This vacation can be anywhere you would like to go, but you need to come up with a picture representing THREE different things you could do on this trip.  These "things to do" will be represented by pictures that you select as backgrounds.  You will then shoot video showing you/your partner in front of these backgrounds explaining where you are at.  Most of this work will be done using the iPads, rather than our traditional desktop computers.

An example vacation spot could be Chicago.  You could have a picture representing a Cubs game, a picture showing an exhibit at the Science and Industry Museum, a Picture of the Shedd aquarium, a picture of the Brookfield Zoo, and maybe a picture of Navy Pier.  You would have these as background pictures and explain what you can do/see at these particular places.  You will need to have at least 3 interesting facts about these places.  You will write this out in a script before we begin filming.

You will need to fill out the Story Board below in a Word Document to help you get started.
