Microsoft Publisher
“Newsletter”
Directions: Your assignment is to create a newsletter using Microsoft Publisher. You will do these on your own and you will need to write at least two articles. The articles should be at least three paragraphs (the longer the article is- the less space you will have to worry about). You will also need one section devoted to a poll, list, or ranking of some sort. YOU WILL ONLY NEED ONE PAGE. Most Newsletter templates are set up as 4 pages.
The articles you will write for this assignment are editorials. That means they need to be in your own words and thoughts. You are not reporting- you are giving your opinion. You may choose politics, sports, the economy, gossip, or anything you want. Just leave names of people in this school out of it. For example: you may want to call your Newsletter “The Cubs Connection” and have each person write an article on something about the Cubs team. Maybe one person can write on the teams outlook for next year, maybe one person write on a certain player’s season, and maybe even one person write an article from another point of view on why the Cubs will not be very good next year.
You must meet the minimum requirements below:
1) Two or Three articles (depending on group)
2) One list, poll, ranking or some other form of info.
3) Three pictures
4) Newsletter Title
5) Newsletter Date
6) Borders around each article
7) Column Format
8) Authors for each article
An example is listed below. Make sure your articles are EDITORIALS- YOUR OPINION. The other two are about books/movies. Remember- the topic can be about anything you want.
