Website Project
You are going to create your own website. You will be using the site- http://www.weebly.com/ to create your site. You may click on the picture above to open a new window. You will be asked to sign up with an account. follow the steps below to set up your account:
1. Type out your name in the box that states, "Full Name." Only use the first letter of your last name.
2. In the "email" box, use your school email (example: [email protected]).
3. You will then be asked to type in a password: I will leave this up to you, but you will have to start over if you forget it.
4. You will then have to type in a code to "verify that you are human."
5. Next you will have to come up with a website title. The website will be about you so you could use: "John's Homepage" (if your first name was John, of course). You can also come up with a title more creative than that.
6. You will then be asked to come up with a name for the website address. You can use something similar to your title. You will want to make the first selection, which is a subdomain of the weebly host site.
7. You should now be ready to make changes to your website. You need to drag elements from up above onto the main part of the site in order to type, ad pictures, etc. Click here for support from the weebly site.
Requirements:
1. Create a website and choose a design template.
2. Create a custom banner at the top (do not use the same exact picture they give you).
3. Create a total of Four Pages:
- Homepage: Type a pargaraph about yourself. Leave last name and address out of it. You can add pictures if you would like or anything else that might add to it.
- Hobbies/Interests: You need to list at least three interests that you enjoy. You need to put these in a column format with pictures representing each.
- Websites: List at least FOUR websites and create links to them. You also need a brief description of each or tell why you like the site. You may look at the "Helpful Websites" on my site for an idea. You can add pictures if you would like.
- Your Choice: The last page can be what ever you want. List your favorites of something (sports teams, places to shop, etc.) if you need an idea.
